back in July 2026, i joined a dozen other artists who performed at Drone Day in Longueuil. this was my first public performance in around a decade.
my approach was to bring one sound i liked, and build on it based on how the room sounded from where i was sitting. i didn’t lock in with the room sounds like i hoped. i planned some cracks and pops that also didn’t really work — but that’s all ok. moving forward, i need to practice and prepare for room acoustics that are not of my own home.
met some very nice artists. in particular, i liked Feral’s set. it was also nice to see Xylo Drome, someone whose work i’ve enjoyed for a while.
the event was organized by Denis Lafond and Association Longueuil un Pays.
